This class will teach you the basics of hunting whitetail deer, from what to wear to where to hunt. Instructors will cover using online maps and apps to find public land open to hunting, how to use scents, look for deer sign and tracks, check wind direction and what clothing you should wear to stay comfortable and prepared. Instructors will also demonstrate how to field dress and quarter a deer to prepare for processing.

While the majority of the class will be indoors, we will go outside occasionally. Please dress for indoor and outdoor conditions.

This class is designed for adults who are new to deer hunting. Teenagers are welcome to attend with an adult. This class is not appropriate for children younger than 15.

We will take a 30-minute break for lunch. Please bring your own food. A refrigerator and microwave will be available for your use.
